Sieg, It must be some other reasons than "CLF is not in the gold business". Just like LT, I have been wondering about the PRB situation with respect to a hostile OT (BTW, does PRB have a poison pill protection plan?). Agreed with you that CLF main interest in RoF is the chromite, not only for the higher grades (than Black Thor) but for their transportation corridors.

Access to the proposed airstrip and workers accommodation facility near the river to the west is required. Check this out on CLF site map for Black Thor. Black Thor is a decoy, and CLF really wanted to mine the DSO stuff from BD and Blackcreek first (higher grades, higher ground for roads and easier overburden stripping).

With respect to spending effort to learn about gold and to develop the Borden property before its sale, I would suggest the following options: (i) just put it on the auction block and sell to the highest bidder (Borden looks promising enough as it is), or (ii) keep the current management team and give them a nice bonus for any additional development to fetch a higher price. CLF does not have to lift a finger for the latter. Bottom line is to get control of PRB (the high grade chromite, the real estate for elbow rooms when (not if) they mine BD, and the road going west), the rest is just details. CLF belongs to the big boyz club and should know how to do this. Goldhunter
