The settlement with the first of the eight who came forward was planned to validate EDig's patents to the rest of the eight AS WELL AS FUTURE MISCREANTS. My understanding from RP was which one of the eight did not matter, LG was NOT targeted. All of them were told whoever was first got the discount. The amount of the settlement was not important.
LG happened to be number one.
