Thank you for considering this thorny problem.

I fully accept that my line of thinking could be a total red herring and that the pursuit of the AOC and datacentre market makes absolute sense as an alternate strategy to PET first and the 40 Engineer deal. Which would be having cake and eating it.

However, my thought processor keeps on asking why after references to multi billion dollar partners and a very clear focus on producing the ring oscillator and VCSEL work for 3rd party requirement, the engagement of B to whom the Synopsys PDK were produced for, all point to engagement with that major partner.

Then silence, PET vanishes, no results of final milestones published. The Shepherd disappearance, De Simon retirement, the TRAB and the refusal to discuss the matter at events even the Talylor retirement was odd. I see these all as pointers that something big happened yet fully accept that it could have been failure. My gut says otherwise.

Best leave it at that or Uncle Rainer will be after me for repetition.
