Depends on who "you" is. If it's POET Technologies, then they would carry on with developing the POET technology for obvious reasons. If it is some licensee, then I could not rule that out 100 percent, but it is highly unlikely since it would require some serious assumptions we don't have any evidence for.

In other words, I wouldn't buy a single POET share just because of that very remote possibility. There are much better reasons to invest in POET, like the detector, the VCSEL transceiver, and the whole POET platform with its optoelectronical integration capabilities.
