NDA's are a way of life with litigation.
jonthezman, his Wife and I, visited RP 9-17-09, a year to the date after the SHM.
I bugged RP, in a polite way, why every settlement had an NDA and the code of silence with every move EDIG made. I will paraphrase what I remember of his response to the best of my memory.
We learned a lot during the 4 year legal process of the digEcor suit. We used to be more forth coming, but this experience and advice of counsel along the way, has curbed public comments. On the NDA's, if it is in the best interest of both parties, a settlement will have the NDA as a stipulation, and it only takes 1 party to insist on it, the other must comply.
Since that visit, countless same, calls etc with Fred, NDA's are the way it is. DM nor Handal have operated any differently in that regard...Fred does what he pays these guy for and takes their advice, no loose lips.
Just like playing poker, the cards are hidden.
