I am certainly not qualified to answer that. Its much more of a legal question than a technical one.

I was disappointed by the rexam results on 774 just like everyone else. The one thing that seems odd to me is the article on the Sharp voice recorder that was in a Japanese journal a year before the 774 patent was applied for, did the examiner really find that on his own? Or did one of the defendants tip him off. I guess I dont understand the process well enough.

I will be interested to see what E-Digital's response is to this. Im sure Woody and his team never saw this article at the time anyway. But does that count?
