I recognize this. All I'm saying is that they've already done this stuff without TPL/Alliacense, so there is no reason to think that their involvement is essential now. Further, they (NuPower) already have an arrangement with a patent research/licensing outfit, or already have the internal expertise, so unless they are unhappy with their prior arrangements/abilities, why switch? How would PTSC benefit from such a switch?
Yup, Alliacense represents patents outside the MMP - with no PTSC involvement. You're suggesting that PTSC can not/would not invest its resources in other IP beyond the MMP without bringing in TPL/Alliacense? Why?
And, to clarify, I'm not saying that there isn't a possibility of TPL/Alliacense joining the party at some point. I'm just saying that it is not essential now or ever.
