But in the NuPower PR it says:
"Patriot announced the phase one, “validation phase” agreement, whereby both companies will work exclusively together to commercialize NuPOWER’s extensive portfolio consisting of more than 60 claims covered under four issued and allowed patents."
Based on these words, in two separate PRs/Letters, we have "exclusive" arrangements with two entities. It would appear that the exclusivity depends on the patent portfolio being addressed. TPL/PTSC for MMP, NuPower/PTSC for NuPower's patents.
As I posted during one of my brief visits here yesterday, isn't it reasonable to assume that NuPower already has a licensing team in place, internally or contracted, to perform the role that TPL is capable of performing?
After all, NuPower has already licensed a piece of their tech, obtained four patents, and submitted applications for more patents - all prior to this agreement with PTSC. All these tasks required a level of expertise that NuPower had to get from somewhere independently. Why would they want to change that aspect of their business arrangements?
What PTSC brings to their party is MONEY, along with some powerful contacts in the tech world, IMO.
IMO, there is no essential need or requirement for TPL involvement in this NuPower deal.
