It's a '71 - rarest, most horsepower.  I actually sold it a couple of years ago after having owned for 19 years.  I built up the 351C to well over 400HP.  Even though it was a "top-end" motor (big cam, 2.18" intake valves), if I floored it from the basement in 1st (no clutch) it would pull a wheelie!  Scary stuff, along with a trip to the alignment shop.  The transaxle in a '71 had lower gears than the later models, topping it out (calculations) at around 160-170 at redline.  I never took mine over 140.  Later models could go faster top end (highest I read of was 222mph).  Real steady at high speed.

I thought about using a picture of the interior, and let people try and figure it out (the Isis symbol on the steering wheel hub is a dead give-away, and there was no way you can see that the speedo goes to 200).

Fun car if you don't mind getting stared at, or pulled over by cops that were "just curious".  I once got caught doing well over a 100mph.  Had a nice chat with the CHP, and he let me off - my passenger was shocked!

Unlike all the musclecars, Panteras haven't gone up that much in value (to my dismay).  You can probably still get a nice one for under $40K.  But make sure the cooling system has been redone....the radiator is up front, and the engine in the middle, so cooling is a problem.  IMO one of the prettiest cars ever built, with one of the stoutest engines ever built (and there's room enough for a big-block Chevy swap).  The ZF transaxle can handle up to 850hp.

Thanks for your interest.
