I'm not sure where this concern over the JV with Kia has come from but I don't fear these JV's I see them as tremendous opportunities. Dongfeng has JV's with Honda,Nissan,Kia,Peugeot Citroen, Volvo, Renault and has a large commercial division as well including hybrid buses. Many of these JV's involve electric vehicles. Prior to working with electrovaya they tested several batteries from other manufacturers and chose to work with electrovaya. There is much more to consider when choosing a battery than energy density. They have been working with electrovaya now for well over a year and the fact that they have sent an improved battery at this point is very encouraging. Keep in mind Toyota has been talking with them for over a year as well, I'm sure Toyota has tested many batteries over the years so there must be something desirable about Efl's batteries. I don't fear the Kia JV I welcome it.
