I believe the intent of the flag/process system is for multiple Hub Leader involvement. I think the intent of the flag/process system is to have a second opinion. My thought is that, to be fair, one person should never flag, and then process a post. This is why there are several Hub leaders. Again, Hub Leaders should set stock sentiment aside and deal with what is contained in a post, and not the person. Please remember that a good HL understands that the person's opinion and the person, are two different things.
Also, whoever flags or processes posts should be kept confidential. Posting the confidential HL portion that shows who are flagging posts is intimidating to members without Hub Leader privaledge. People will not flag if it is known that they will be considered troublemakers by HL's. Flagging is not wrong, just as processing is not wrong. ALL members should be able to participate in the hub, including flagging, without fear. Members should especially be able to flag without being singled out because of stock sentiment.
As noted earlier, deletions are not ever necessary unless certain rules are broken. In my opinion, only those posts breaking Agoracom Guidelines 1 and/or 2 should be deleted. This needs to be consistent.
Banning should only be done if there is continual serious disrespect of a member by another member. However, one deleted post does not a banning make. But, maybe three deleted posts do? Having one HL flag while another HL processes is paramount in showing HL concensus. After so many deletions of a member posts, the HL's should discuss in PM if banning is appropriate upon the next infraction. Or, preferrably, it can be discussed now in the open.
Hub Leaders, please weigh in on the above and provide your thoughts.
