I am from/in Canada. We did not get the currrent issues but we are not out of the woods. Do not confuse our current condition with safety. We are "lucky" and dodged a bullet but I don't see this issue being over by a long shot. I am a fiscally prudent conservative and would have wanted/currently want even greater fiscal prudence from our gov't. Too much wasteful spending. yeah it's not the US but then again it is not wise to compare youself to others, it is better to actually do things that are not only prudent but moral. The Banks and Investment houses are given the freedom because the are too big to fail. The status quo failed to workand as it is said to keep doing the same thing over again and expect different result is true idiocy.
