If Chancellor and Jose the 2nd vice president are close buddie/allies, how can anyone tie Chavez into this, when he hates Chancellor? As well RM stated in PR from 06', that I posted earlier, that it is well documented that KRY paid the CVG 15 million. If there are questions about where that 15 million went, they would be directed at the CVG.We have all heard how corrupt the CVG is, but it is the company issued KRY the MOC.

Is it likely, or even possible, that there is an attempt to discredit not KRY, but the CVG. thereby sneaking round to the back door so to speak. The fact that KRY is so squeaky clean, maybe Chavez and or others see the corrupt CVG as the weak link, in regards to the MOC. They certainly will find out that Crystallex gave the money to CVG, and did all the social projects. So CVG is the only entity that could be damaged. If that was to happen, officials down on Crystallex, might try and say that now the MOC is in doubt?

The part I don't get in that scenario, is that it seems gov't officials mostly seem to defend the CVG(at least in public) It's the union and the workers who vocalize and demonstrate their anger towards the CVG. Part of their anger is the fact that there has been no final permit for KRY, and therefore no 1000's of jobs. Maybe CVG has become just too much of a wild card, and some in the Government want to find a way to really discredit them. That could do wonders for Hugo's upcoming elections, and might see some major changes, aspecially if Chavez decided to 'clean up the corruption'.

I don't think that Chavez would hold back in sacrificing some top officials or even infuencial ones. ( a few million as payoff), in order to make him look good, just before the elections.

OH ya, you can bet that there will be a string of 'cleaning up corruption and violence' over the next 7 months.
