yes Obama is currently a Christian, the church he belongs to , Trinity United Church of Christ, has come under criticism for it's black empowerment theme and it's honoring Luis Farrakahn, the leader of The Nation of Islam.

The whole purpose of the post you're referring to is PERCEPTION in politics. I stated the simple realities, and they are, Obama is a Black man with a Muslim background. Under Sharia ( Islamic) law any child fathered by a Muslim is a Muslim.. Irregardless if he's a practicing Christian, to a Muslim he's a Muslim that's lost his way.

As far as his being black,,Have you followed the Democratic primaries at all..Obama started his campaign promoting himself as a man of mixed races.. THEN after Oprah endorsed him he started promoting his African heritage to become more black..

I don't like Obama not because of his race, backround or faith..I don't like his politics PERIOD..After all he's on record as saying he would send the military into Pakistan to go after Bin Laden just a few months ago..
