I think it is a matter of trust. The Ecuadorian government has flip flopped so many time that they have lost their credibility. The new mining law is very encouraging but I think people are now waiting until they have something a little more concrete.

I think the government is starting see some of the consequences of their past decisions here and will conclude that they can not take the foreign companies and investors for granted.

If they want our money they will have to give us a decent return on our investments.

The bottom line is that money will flow to where it is treated the best.
