When I attended the Edmonton forum,Lori Talked about the INFORMALE miners. They would set up on private property and mine until they were caught ,at which point they would be kicked off the property. They then packed up and moved to another property. When SLI purchased Tesoro they caught informale miners on the property but instead of kicking them off, they hired them to work their mines. The locals were very knowledgeable of the property, good miners and exactly what SLI needed for their bulk sampling. It turned out that the Locals were making more money working for SLI then they were on their own. This gave SLI a good working relationship with at least a few peruvian locals and I'm sure news travels fast.SLI made a good move befriending locals as opposed to kicking them off.
