Hogtown,
please clarify.
"Except for the upgrade in regulations, ..............................................I don't forsee any detrimental impact on SLI whatsoever."
This seems to imply that the upgrade in regulations will have a detrimental impact. No ?
Although the Peruvian government is very pro mining, (who are pumping $millions into their economy) my major concern with Tesoro, is, and always has been SLI's relationship with the indigenous people. They appear to be very strong and committed to maintaining their environment. Moreso than most North Americans. It also seems that the authorities have a tough time trying to persuade them to 'go along'. Also unlike North America.
So my question is, does anyone have any knowledge, or feel, for our situation in the immediate vicinity of Tesoro, in regards to the local people.
I'm fairly heavily invested (relatively) in SLI, and would appreciate any input that may have a bearing on the value of my investment.
Thanks in advance.
