I have been unable to find an application or control number for Gimbal, so I emailed them, offered the trademark number 85641491 as a reference and got a canned response below: they did not understand the question!

Unfortunately, we are not ab;e to determine if a patent was filed because a company filed a trademark. Patents and Trademarks are handled by 2 different departments. So I called the number, talked to a gal for 15 minutes and she finally said, this is the wrong dept...of course I was on hold 1st for 10 minutes.  She could not understand hardly anything I offered.

I then got a number for the patent dept, talked to 2 different people asking this simple question.."I need the application or control number for a patent filing by Qualcomm Corp in San Diego for what they call Gimbal and here is the trademark number for reference.

The guy says, this is not the trademark dept (LOL) so after repeating my question 3 times, he searched the site and said, "you have the wrong office, here's the number for the assigments dept, then he transfered me, waiting 15 minutes and hung up.

All 3 people were dumber than dirt, constantly interrupted me, their English was horrible...I gave up.
