if samsung didn't feel their patents would not hold up, im almost certain samsung would not of settled. Dont u think samsung lawyers turned up every rock they can on EDIG patent. Fighting infringement suits are of top priority by many big companys, because when the defending companys win, it discourages future suits by others, especially if their is any grey area at all.
