I've been wanting to ask you this for months, but kept deciding not to, so now I will. First though, I appreciate that you have developed a relationship with RP and call him now and then, and keep us in the loop.

The questioin:

What are your expectations when you call him with questions, or make a comment and are looking for a confirmation of your thoughts? What do you expect from this effort?

For him to say much IP effort is going on behind the scenes says what? Why would EDIG/DM make their strategy and negotions public?

To settle vs going to trial, he has said before, and it puts the issue to bed quickly and we get a check. Why would EDIG want a 5 year battle in court, even on a contingency basis, other than the award can be substantially better? IMO, both parties benefit by an agreeable settlement, and cross licensing agreement, if the shoe fits.
