That was pretty much his responce when I brought up Cell phones as a target for infringement: Margins low, pockets deep. Go for the low hanging fruit first.
On the other hand I had a couple of conversations with Jim Collier several years back....remember him.... The way he spun it, and I do believe ithere was allot of spin, he was talking with a senior exec. at Apple several times a week. No idea what they talked about but I have noticed an incredible similarity between our old business plan and what Ipod has done. Our music site was strictly indie lables which no one really wanted, ITUNES seems to be a direct knock off of ours, albeit bigger and better. I don't know if infringing on a business plan is the same thing as ripping off one's technology. I doubt if there would be much basis for legal recourse based on that but I do think our relationship with Portal Player, which never matured into anything meaningful, and Apples subsequent contract with them for their operating system, (once upon a time.....now Samsung I believe) may provide a basis for infringement. I hate to open pandora's box of thoughtfull discourse but at this point in time I would have to put Apple on the list of possible infringers. Just my 2 cents.
