First Explorer at the "Ring of Fire" and presently drilling on the "BIG DADDY" Chromite/Pge's jv'd property...yet we were robbed
Another analogy: Who? what? when? where? why? These are all questions a journalist must answer when considering a story for publication. Investing should follow the same line of detection.
So: Who? Spider Resources. What? Junior Exploration Company that has hit some interesting minerals. When? Say, over a number of years, but more recently, CROMITE. Where? In the James Bay Lowlands (Ring of Fire - ROF). Why? Bottom line - TO MAKE MONEY.
Now, one cold expand on each of these comments and a very interesting story would emerge.
However, as most posters here know the story (at least each one's own version of it) I will confine my findings to the list below:
SPQ (Spider Resources) has been around for some time. It's present CEO, Neil Novac received a very prestigious award for his find of cromite in the ROF at the 2010 PDAC. That award alone should have been a clue to what a valuable person he is to have heading up the SPQ team.
When NN proposed a Consolidation (some prefer to call it a reverse split, which I won't go into here but read some former posts of mine if you have difficulty with RS/Consolidation and the distinction in this particular case), he was positioning SPQ for what might be coming down the pipe. I'm sure he had his very good reasons which he couldn't let us be privy to (security laws - whatever). I felt I must trust him as he knew much more then I or anyone posting on this board knew.
Unfortunately, to my way of thinking, many, fearful of other R/S's they had knowledge of or had been involved in, didn't see the merrits of NN's warnings. Those shareholders voted against the Consolidation. Perhaps some did their own DD. Perhaps some followed the council of posters they thought knowledgable in these matters;that is history. But everyone needs to know that the vote was in favor of the Consolidation if a simple majority was all that was needed. However, those in favor needed a two thirds majority and they almost got it.
Now, where are we?
There has been a lot of conjecture since the KWG announcement was posted on this board. Some very wild summations. I can only say, that in my opinion, NN hands have been tied. His wiggle room is almost nil. If there are negotiations in the works that involve SPQ I believe he and the board will give us their level best. And if or whatever we get will be thanks to NN and the BOD of SPQ.
If you ever read this board Neil, remember there are more of us for you and the BOD then there are against you. All the Best.
Gleegee.
