Pomp and I had some back and forth on some of the mitochondria and bromodomain selectivity related issues back in February in the two threads below. This doesn't necessarily mean that Pomp is the author of the Hedge Knight report. But based on the references, interpretations and conclusions it is likely that Pomp is one of the authors. I commend the report's authors for attempting to tie everything together and propose some novel hypotheses. It's just in my nature as a scientist to remain skeptical in the face of unproven hypothesis; to scrutinize the evidence, cited publications and model systems used; and to know when conclusions and proposed models are over-stepping the current evidence. As bfw wrote, "Some of the other scientific explanations seem out there." I agree. But maybe the Hedge Knights are just ahead of our time.......
