Still the weekend so I'll respond to that.  Generally a moderated board works better.  Some of the other boards have been completely wrecked by a handful of posters.

But there's another side to it.  Being a moderator comes with a responsibility to be objective, impartial, fair-minded, dispassionate, and to equally enforce the Agoracom rules.  And to refrain from "calling out" or deleting posts merely because they contain contrary views.
