The 467 elderly patients that were 70 years old or over, including the 246 with baseline MoCA scores of 25 or below, were randomized to placebo or apabetalone.

"Would this not be a comparison from baseline to the finality to see if there would be an improvement in cognition for the sub-group by way of MoCA scores?"

Correct. Change in MoCA score from baseline will be assessed in both the placebo and apabetalone groups.

"In a sense, this is not a double-blinded cognition substudy that is being undertaken."

Incorrect. The cognition sub-study is double-blinded.
