Short interest should be updated tomorrow after the closing bell.....current up to Jan 31st.  If not tomorrow then Monday after the bell for sure.  Just to give it some context, the number current to Jan 15th was 110,800

As to your question about anonymous buying and selling and whether it reprsents manipulation....impossible to say. Anonymous could be 1 broker, or 2....or 20.  For whatever reason that broker (or brokers) doesn't want their identity known. Its legal, so we'll never know, so for my own part I don't worry about it anymore...I used to, but not anymore.  Its not like whoever was behind those trades is ever going to announce what they were doing and the reasons why.
