Great post Rocco. Quebec is a distinct society alright. The opposition typically comes from the metro areas and the south shore as far as I can tell. They are also the ones that allowed the government to flood millions of acres of First Nations property for the development of the James Bay project without as much as their consent. They have so much cheap hydro they feel they don't need the NG...so nobody should have it. What is Quebecs is Quebecs and what is Canada's is also Quebecs. It's just in their culture, after 200 years of handouts why would they change now. Let's hope that our scientists and their government can agree that it is in the best interest of Quebec to develop this resource as they have with their mining industry, lumber industry and hyro-electric industry. They have a lot going for them so let's hope they take their head out of the sand and get this thing in full gear. Regards, Foghorn
