Chengjoo!
I truly thank you for your very kind words....I greatly appreciate it. We truly have a great group of guys on this board and it's nice to have you here with us to discuss these issues and have some maturity and like you said, sincerity. Everyone on here contributes great things and honestly it makes for a wonderful discussion.
You make great points in your messages. Very refreshing to read. It is great to see QEC on both ends, with Quebec and the Bakkan region. The company has done a lot to achieve what they have and it's nice to finally see things coming together.
Also, let me point out the Greater Sierra region in BC that we have a 50-50 take with the giant Encana!
We own 54sq miles and the company is planning on drilling 2 wells per sq mile. Now the first two wells are both on production at ~330boe/day....results were actually higher than expected.
Now for some rough calculations. When I asked Jason about what the reserves recoverable were for each well, he said that based on the 2 well spacing per sq mile, it was between 0.8 and 1.6bcf....now in there report, they used the avg of 1.2bcf per well....which is rougly 214,000 boe.
Now I will be super conservative with my calculations...I don't want to try to give the best upside...but the lower end...such as only 80 wells drilled, with a 70% success rate....this works out to...
Taking 214,000boe/well * 80wells * 0.50(50% take) * 0.70(success rate) * $65 netback = 399million dollar take
Of course, I am using the numbers given by QEC for there reserves per well...and the low end conservative values.
So as you can see, the potential from that play is also very encouraging.
Rocco:)
