POET will be going into mass production with SPX covering the costs right. That will be the proof that is needed to fully convince the industry that the tech is commercially viable. The significantly lower cost production is well understood because it is wafer level processing. So the industry does not have to be convinced that it is the lowest cost production but they do have to see the product release.

Remember RKLY is advanced  silicon photonics. So it's not really a departure from the way things are done. The silicon industry accepts this without much hesitation.
