A friend of mine points out that Poet is looking to work with silicon modulators:

Go to slide 6 & 25 and see that Poets OI is compatible with silicon modulators. Intel was announcing they developed an all silicon Ring modulator solution. Poet is to announce in Q1 2021 a Silicon photonics modulator customer/partnership.
