Important point! from a funtional point of view, you don’t care whether such a standardized products is from POET, Intel, or anyone else. They all behave the same.
It’s like buying an HDMI cable to connect a monitor to your computer. You don’t care much or at all who the manumacturer is as long as it works reliably for an extended period of time. A cable is a cable, right? But if manufacturer I offers an HDMI cable for $25 and manufacturer P for $15, I know which one you are going to buy or at least seriously consider to buy.
