In terms of the Meteorlogical Office's weather forecasts and warnings in the UK, imminent means within six hours, would it not be a pleasant surprise if on this occasion I was right, but in any case imminent is a pleasant change from the overused and unpopular soon.  I hope by now readers recognise my battle to prevent gloom overwhelming this board by projecting some optimism.
