OZ: Now please explain why POET’s Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Product Management Rich Zoccolillo would not engaged in discussions with Microsoft and Facebook, as both are defending a Single-mode optical fiber solutions?

POET explained it already. Have a look at page 18:

https://poet-technologies.com/docs/presentations/POET%20Investor%20Deck%20-%20March%202019_web.pdf

"POET designs, manufactures, markets and sell its Optical Engines leveraging its proprietary Optical Interposer Technology to either “sub-assembly” makers or directly to module makers"

Facebook is not buying components, Facebook is buying modules made by Accelink and others. To find POET´s possible customers, we have to look at the first two columns, not the last two.

Maybe POET talks to FB to learn about their needs, but not to make a deal.

Holk
