Interesting thought. But then one would think that anyone who might be anticipating deals with POET would not  be allowed to  buy due to the potential  conflict of interest?

what kinds of controls are in place for this when it comes to representatives from foreign customers who are directly dealing with POET? They might conceivably have a US- or Canadian-based brokerage account - could they even be detected as non-citizens in trading on inside info in this way?
