The Beatles never got around to making a song titled "How did that end up?", but even if they had, it would have taken its place alongside every other famous song since time immemorial whose punch line was a rhetorical question. The pointlessness of such questions was nicely highlighted when Chris Farley asked Paul McCartney (on a Saturday Night Live skit): "You said: 'In the end, the love you make, is equal to the love you take...' is that TRUE?"
