Any particular industry or segment in society has its own set of terms. Sometimes, they might take it for granted that the general public gets it or understands.  Initially, I thought it was an actual press release, then I thought that it might be a release targetted only at a particular industry. Then I thought to myself that any announcement done at the CLEO conference would be that "industrial press release". Why? Because those in attendance are usually from those in that particular industry.

Yes, Suresh, maybe should have communicated that better, but perhaps he took it for granted that we all would understand.

Industry and government usually have their own particular buzzwords that gather attention in the media. For example, during this Trump administration CNN started using the word "recuse" frequently. Being a laymen, I thought to myself "accuse ... recuse" what is the difference? I learned that difference. I probably would never use that word since it is a legal political term and not every day language. The legal profession is full of buzzwords. I think that Suresh may have assumed that we all would understand, but it seems many here, including myself initially, did not connect to that buzzword. As long as it was announced at the CLEO trade show, then Suresh did keep his word. That's my take on this anyway. I learned a new term to add to my vocabulary --- no big deal.
