yes that's one of the key benefits of this tech. Transferring data throughout a processor using optics, rather than copper wiring. This improves speed and power consumption hugely. I think it was mentioned in the CIC video, that this alone could save 30% of the power used? But without going back I might be slightly off.
Anyway sorry Chris I'm getting out of my depth here. So I'm going to quit whilst I have a modicum of credibility left.
