It becomes almost a moral issue for me because the developers of those apps weren't even born when Dr.T started working on POET.

It's not right and can't be made so.

I agree with you 1000%.

But as we know, the markets and morality have little to do with each other. Every innovation has the potential (and the likelihood) of changing the world for both better and worse. Ask Bill Gates if he could do it all over again, would he have worked so hard at developing an industry that would result in the further erosion of the middle class and the outsourcing of American jobs to the lowest bidder thanks to the personal computer - he would look at his pile of $ billions and say "hell yes". Or ask Steve Jobs, who would not allow his own kids to have iPads, was it worth it to create a product that would further subdivide attention span and take a generation of kids further away from real interactivity with the outdoors, with books, with people - "hell yes"!

We need to keep in mind that our own baby will unleash many new possibilities for good and bad in society. The morality of whether our company is bought out for a certain price relative to another company is the least of it.

And yet I still agree with you.
