Woundedknees: Nice response rainer..but really ..."the end of the year" does not mean the end of the year'.(dec. 31st) Have you been taking political responses(lessons) from a well known political heavyweight?
Ha, ha, very good! Well, no, but I am doing software projects for years, therefore I am well aware of the realities of the project business. I am doing estimations myself and use techniques like PERT, which are useful but are still nothing more than tools to quantify the uncertainties. To quote the PERT Wikipedia article: "During project execution, however, a real-life project will never execute exactly as it was planned due to uncertainty. This can be due to ambiguity resulting from subjective estimates that are prone to human errors or can be the result of variability arising from unexpected events or risks." Experienced professionals can make better estimates than newbies, but that only means better quantifications of uncertainties. And if someone falls ill for two weeks, your professional estimate goes out of the window, especially in small teams and especially if that person is a key resource.
Woundedknees: … My original question wasn't to express criticism on management, but only stated that after 3.5 months we should soon be able to have some answers as to progress. OK 2 months.
Yes. I'd also like an update, and I'd like it rather sooner than later. However, I won't sell any of my shares if I don't get it by a certain date.
Woundedknees: One last note..shareholders cannot be taken for granted and management must deliver to shareholders(eventually) or get voted out. We have the voting power.
Agreed. And I am sure management will deliver to shareholders eventually – with emphasis on "eventually". ;-)
