It was the unfortunate side effect of the Justice Department's attention on Microsoft during that time that Adobe's monopolistic acquisitions were allowed to slip through the cracks without protest. Now they own every high-end graphics, web, and page composition tool out there. And they care only about shareholders. Customers are way down on the list now.
