Here is my take on POET's future after reading several posts from many here. A.M.'s goal is to acheive this Foundation 2.0 model and from what I can see, this model is based on trust and a long term goal and vision. He is attempting to align all the players needed for this, which includes Synopsys and Global Foundaries and possibly other players. Now if POET is allowed to be bought out by any one company to control it's technology - where will that trust be in developing the Foundation 2 model? It would be the same as it is between Apple and Samsung. In the best interest of the Foundation 2.0 model, POET will remain it's own entity to be licensed to all that wish to take advantage of it's technology.

So to all that speculate a buy out - I would be greatly surprised if it happened.
