Having slept on Chris's response I think there was nothing remarkable in what he said.
He did rather disprove my theory that after a technical achievement there is a lag for validation and approval before announcement. It would seem that their aim is to get news out quickly. I would be interested to know from the more knowledgeable here what is the legal compulsion for this.
I think we can assume that if there is a delay its because the target has not been achieved. It would seem also that the company does not reveal why. I read into this that Chris is not in the managment decision loop.
The interesting point he made about the need for me to consider that all that is done, is done by a team of 16 people. Here we are being asked to take a deep draught of reality. Perhaps our expectations are set too high. The likely hood is that all 16 are currently having to bust a gut.
This leads me to the thought that this team is not designed for the long term. To build the company that some of PC comments evokes, i.e. taking POET beyond R&D, is going to need many more people and funds than are currently available. I take it that being bought out is still very much on PC's cards.
