"Been There" was working up a figure for direct shipping to China. My conjecture was that the Northwest Passage will become more and more feasible as Global Warming progresses. As well, when the ROF is mined, no doubt there will be demand from both Pacific and European countries. It is much much more economical to bulk ship by ocean vessel than rail. "Build it and they will come." Yes, there is a seaport at Churchill, but it is about 36 hours out of Winnipeg alone. We also have rail service in Ontario at tidewater (Moosonee). Obviously, much work needs to be done on all means of shipping ROF output. It appears Noront itself is more ventursome than you, Ed, since they are looking at slurry pipelines, hover barges and what-have-you.

Call it brainstorming!

Best, O.F.
