The case never stops, unless, and I am only guessing a settlement is reached before trial, or we win in court. So, it would seem they can keep on talking and negotiating with the mediator without us ever knowing that it is still going on.

I really don't have the knowledge or the expertise to comment on this. It is just the way I see it.
