I agree that it's probably no illegal either - unless one could demonstrate that the action was unfairly favoring a certain shareholder at the expense of other shareholders. As you know I am not a lawyer so have no idea if that has a legal leg to stand on. In the back of my mind, tho, I seem to remember reading about lawsuits with a similar theme.
