Hi Rgrowden!
I would agree that the management style for the company is too conservative, and I have tried to get them to issue more regular updates and news. There is so much activity going on at the mines that would constitute legitmate progress reports from the company, for drilling results, throughput at the mill, underground development, etc.
I have held fast for about a year, neither buying or selling any stock. IPT is one of the top three holdings in my PF and I am confident that its just a matter of time before the company gets more respect in the market. I think the status of El Chivo and the commissioning of the new mill will move the company up another notch in terms of the scope of operations, and perhaps then the stock will begin to close the gap with growing producers like EDR and FR.
I have no advice to offer in terms of trading strategy. I could see IPT drifting down in the summer doldrums but I could also see a potential rebound for the entire sector that could catch many by surprise. This is not a stock that I want to get too cute trading. However, I would also agree that those who were sellers above $1.70 and buyers below $1.50 have done well over the last year or more. I sleep better at night trading my other juniors where appropriate and I just sit and wait with IPT.
cheers!
