i can think of 100 other scenarios (not necessarily JV's) that might have worked out better with some upfront cash from anybody....like GG, bmo, any number of companies/financial institutions that could have kept us in play after hugo is gone or taken us through arbitration without giving up 2/3rds of the value. or maybe even all of the value depending on how the current situation evolves.

for instance: put the word out to all major gold co's that kry is looking for a silent partner to fund us for 5 years (either to fruition on the permit or conclusion of arbitration) for say a 200% return or 50% of the profits? it seems possible to me but what do i know? i'm just a dumbass retail investor, not a miracle worker like super-fung...
