Crystallex International Corporation is a Canadian-based gold company with a successful record of developing and operating gold mines in Venezuela and elsewhere in South America
We have been talking in the past as to whether or not the initial stage of 20,000 t per day mine could be built faster than the 2 year timeline KRY had put forth, years ago. It seemed the general sense was that with CRRC being in the game, with their parent company being the largest construction company in the world, with unlimited $$$ and equipment, the mine could be up and running in 18 months or less. This mine will be a piece of cake to build for this outfit. Access is easy, camp is built, electricity on the door step, no roads to build, long runway.
Where in the heck did this 2-3 years come from? If someone heard 2-3 years from RM, I would say that it was either miss-spoke, or heard wrong. I recall in a recap of what RM said from another poster, that RM had said that the initial 20,000 a day mine would likely be built faster, and that the Chinese were anxious to get the mine up and running, and the gold out of the ground ASAP.
I'm stymied as to why anyone would latch onto a 2-3 year timeline, when it has been stated that CRRC is going to ramp up production, to have a 15-20 yr. timeline.
In my opinion, the LC mine will be producing by Christmas 2011....just in time to have a giant leap in SP gift wrapped for us all. Maybe even for my birthday, Nov.13th......you know what they say, nice things come in small packages.....how small would you say a pound of gold, gift wrapped?.......LOL
