Crystallex International Corporation is a Canadian-based gold company with a successful record of developing and operating gold mines in Venezuela and elsewhere in South America
1. We have a deadline coming up at the end of May to go to international arbitration.
2. Crystallex states that they have been in continuous discussion with "high level" Venezuelan officials and that there is no fly in the ointment according to all of those discussions.
3. It is impossible to believe that the looming deadline for international arbitration has not been discussed at these "high level meetings" and that there is not the possibility of some type of positive plan going forward that would avert the need to go to court.
4. With respect to item #3, the fact that Crystallex continues with it's social project expenditures is just as likely to be connected to a known positive outcome as it is to covering our @$$ for possible arbitration.
5. International arbitration appears to be a lose-lose for both parties. If Hugo wants more he can simply ask for more.
