My current take (wait 5 minutes it will change) is that we won't hear anything till after the election. LC is being used as a political football and it is apparent that Hugo believes the best way for his party to win is to show the VZ people he has the backing and power of the Russians.

All the media reports about Russia and VZ partnerships are most likely true but the degree of truth isn't as important as the perception of truth. Sanz, Hugo and the rest want everyone to believe the Russians will be mining LC because they believe it will bring them votes. In the end the Russian will probably end up with LC but not at the expense of KRY.

A deal will be worked that will allow Kry to be bought out or to to sell their MOA to the Russians, the Chinese or however. What sanz can't say right now is that they will honor our contract. It makes for much better political milage to say they are taking LC back for the people of VZ. I'm sure that most people in VZ don't know CVG already owns LC.

To date nobody other than Vanessa (and rightfully so) that I know of has been booted without compensation. It is now up to Fung to make the best of a bad situation and find a deal that allows shareholders to escape VZ with some money to move on.
